Natural Weaves and Crafts

Sheetal Pati is a variety of natural fiber mat that has natural cooling properties. It is extracted from a plant called Mutrak in Bangla, the botanical name is Clinogyne dichotoma. Traditionally, Pati is woven as a sheet to be used as a bed cover. This product is handcrafted in baikhora village in South Tripura, by local women grassroots enterprise trained by Tripura Bamboo Mission (implemented by IL&FS CDI) in making contemporary products from sheetal pati.
