TBM – IL & FS CDI organizing a Pre- Production Workshop on Bamboo Utility At ASHA Holly Cross from 11th to 28th December 2008

A workshop was organized by TBM IL& FS CDI on new designed development on bamboo baskets and mats making for bamboo artisans/craft persons. Miss Tulip Sinha and team from Industree craft was the designer to conduct the program. The training program organized in ASHA Holly cross Lembuchara for 11 days from 11th to 28th December 2008. This workshop was processed by which a person can prepare himself / herself with skills, abilities and a positive attitude. The artisans/ craft persons were from Kalika Handicraft society of Jirania, Creative Bamboo craft society of Jogendranagar. The workshop was a great experience for the artisans as it was a mixed group programme. The total numbers of artisans registered were 37 from 7 different societies of different utility items. The artisans were trained how to function and handle the Juki industrial sewing machine, such as floor mats, folding rack , fridge cover, magazine rack, pouch, ladies bags, blinds etc. in different sizes and in different colors.
