IndusTree Crafts Foundation (ICF): IndusTree Crafts Foundation is focused on development of rural livelihoods, working especially with women self help groups in the area of natural fibre craft as this craft has huge market potential. The foundation is involved with issues of skill upgrading, product development, capacity building, production of quality goods and building marketing linkages. ICF has partnered with TBM to form a consortium in, building the bamboo based handicrafts, household utility and furniture based on the prevailing traditional skills and the contemporary trends prevailing in the market. National Mission on Bamboo Applications (NMBA):
The National Mission on Bamboo Applications, structured as a Technology Mission, for enlarging the bamboo sector, and with supporting the efforts of the Government of India towards augmenting economic opportunity, income and employment. TBM and NMBA have partnered to drive technology initiatives and industrial applications of bamboo in Tripura. Under the partnership, 3 mechanized stick making units with average capacity of xxx tonnes of sticks have been set up in first year. Other initiatives include installation of four bamboo based gassifiers to generate sustainable green power, introduction of tissue culture for large-scale bamboo resource generation and plantation of specialized bamboo species such as xxx to drive production of high value-added bamboo products in Tripura.
